Thats the stupidest way to stop a crying child. But then again, one baby crying can make other babies cry. So I guess it works.

After that initial generation, they’d just use eugenics and breed the for those specific genes, traits and patterns etc

But i understand your point. Definitely, most if not whole generations of infants would be massacred because of the tendency towards crying as an infant human.

At first I thought it doesn’t make sense for there to be thousands of babies in this “storage”, since there are not that many 12th level dungeon babies. But if we subtract all those babies who cried then it makes a lot of sense.
