The plot does not work here, BECAUSE they choose the setting that it’s a game the whole “I’m so scared of dying” plot makes absolutely no sense. Nobody, NOBODY will be afraid of death in a game like this, in fact they will like the challange even more. So a player that has played a while, who has certainly died numerous times suddenly getting scared of death makes absolutely no sense. Everybody is aware they are in a game, they are streaming for god’s sake. No they are not backing down like that. Because they picked this setting, the plot they are going for is not working.
