this is running into the hardcore leveling series’s problem ealier than that series itself the way the characters powers are designed are just too oppressive not only that but everyone and I mean fking everyone has an ex machina, from thorn to ex’s phantom thief to a random time space power up to a character who seemingly has the admin to help them this story is becoming more like children in a playhouse screaming that “nuh uh my power is stronger than your power because xyz”
ash doesn’t have much character development and ex’s abilities are too op
I kinda wish the author didn’t tell us that them splitting up would be so significant to their futures. I think I would’ve liked it way more had it been dismissed as something insignificant just to slowly notice over time that they’ll never walk the same path again.
