I suspect that this pattern of tearfully abandoning the person you claim to care about is just the author’s lazy way to create drama.
That said, I’m going to try to see it as a clever way to illustrate his PTSD and attachment disorder. And his sister’s, too. And maybe Minito (Miniko? Minita? idk)
Probably better if I don’t think too deeply. Kid’s a player, he can’t get tied down, right?
