For all those dumb blokes who don’t understand the behaviour of the Mom: Should you become a parent one day, and you experienced the first moments of birth, the first weak cry of the little worm, the growing up, the pain and happiness that goes with it, then -maybe- you will understand that you will do anything to protect your kid(s) life. If your child or children face imminent death, there is no more logic involved, it’s instinct and emotions and you will move heaven and hell to protect what is dear to you and damned be the consequences.
