Fun Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord - Chapter 41.1
Comments for chapter "Chapter 41.1"
I was marinated it for almost a year..
Now we wait again..
These two are idiots.
Van is a LORD. While certainly, it is appropriate to maintain a decent level of proficiency, he will NEVER be able to deal with an assassin with a sword. That’s the job of the captain of the guards.
And of course, he needs some general knowledge. But he cannot be an expert on everything intellectual, either. That’s what advisors are for.
As a lord, his #1 skill is to be able to tell when his courtiers are disloyal or dishonest.
Next, he needs to keep up with politics. Both external to the fief, in the fief, and in the castle.
Finally, and this is particular to Van, he should spend his afternoon working on his magic. That’s something that only he can do, and it is the foundation of is power in the fief and in the kingdom.
So, yes. In the morning, physical training, swordsmanship, general knowledge, current events, and poker. Obviously, except for the physical training and current events, none of these happen every day. At least one significant break in there as well. Then lunch. Then the afternoon working on his magic. Again with a break.
Relax in the evenings. And don’t be bothered if you need to set the schedule aside to deal with an urgent matter.
I would refuse additional hours.
If I am 9 year old accomplished lord, I decide on learning and training schedule, not crazy instructors.
