Personally, I would have gone out an assassinate either that hollow basturd or the Duke himself.
On the other hand, chances are another nation is playing both sides here and down the line both get hugged. *shrug*
Not that I care much. But now, that everyone is suddenly aware of a possible path to the dragon nest things will get out of hand anyway. As MC with his mindset I would book it right now at the very latest. Those guys are going to mess with the golden Dragon, that will probably mean something along the lines of total vaporification and frankly, totally deserved.
I will laugh myself to oblivion if this is just a ploy from the third Duke (Son Duke 2 ill, nobody knows how and why) and our masterbrained MC will unravel it and everyone gets to eat cake at the end with nothing happening.
