Ah damn, this series really is one of the best out there. If it got an anime it would be just as successful as Natsume Yuujinchou Shi.

I like this comic a lot, but chapters like this bug me. If they had to grieve the loss of Tetra, even if they then went on a quest and returned her soul or resurrected her, this story would have really leveled up. Instead, she’s immediately back and there’s no feeling of consequences.
Also, Maya was standing in a magic circle that was actively sending the essence of souls to the battle they wanted to reach. Did she cleverly improvise a risky way to use that active transfer to transport herself and Ana directly to the battle? Nope. She made her own magic circle and miraculously remembered “co-ordinates” to Ern (not the actual battle location). It’s a completely unnecessary Deus Ex Machina moment that even requires a “I can’t explain it, but good thing it worked” hand waving.
If the stories weren’t good, I wouldn’t be bothered by these writing mistakes, so, in a way, this is a back-handed compliment. I hope this gets an anime that fixes these things.
