I have to disagree with the editor comment; the bit with Maya and Sephiria is pretty much the only place we see Sephiria’s character development or rationales. I quite like that her innocent advances come off as lewd because if she were just a little older those feelings would be romantic. As it is, she’s not mature enough to understand why she wants to help Kane with intimacy and romance, but she does know that serving as a medium for Altena was a transcendent experience and that she has a lot of feelings about Kane, maybe not all her own. Her innocence is intact, but she’s beginning to wrestle with a lot of confusing things. I’m so glad they left all that in.
Excuse me… could I have a moment to talk to you about our saviour, Noir the nameless? We don’t call her evil god since she stopped eating demon souls. Please entrust her with your children’s welfare!
She did eat the soul of a holy beast, but we got her to spit it out, so that’s fine.

Yeah, didn’t have the nun as the elder sister to the elven queen. Nor as so fearful to be lectured by. I mean, she makes the nuns i had to deal with as a first grader all those decades ago seem positively lovely. Then again, none of those nuns were beautiful elves so…I still put Sylvia as the winner.
This manga is so very sweet and actually a pretty good story. Its far better than half the fantasy anime I’ve watched.
