Yeah the hero of time is kind of broken, unless he gets like sealed or maybe you could use the blood of the vampire hero to make him immortal so that he can’t reset. He basically can’t loose. There’s also the chance that the hero of time, when he dies he leaves that universe and starts a new one from wherever he would ‘reset’ from, so if that is the case then all that would have to happen is he needing to reset. Sadly the manga’s that have time resets in them (at least the ones I’ve read) haven’t ended so you can never tell if it is purely time based or is it an alternate reality.
TLDR: Hero of time is jank.
