Damn story
This is possibly the saddest backstory I’ve ever seen and thats REALLY saying something because of how many manga/manhwa and anime I’ve watched. Jeez.

now this is a sad backstory.
Now I can sympathize. All those heroes turned insane for stupid reasons. But this one. This one I can understand. He’s not enjoying what he’s doing at all, he just wants to end the loop and let other people come out of it.

I think he fundamentally misunderstood his own ability. “If it is a death the system does not recognize, the user is then returned back to the start of that branch of time.” His system has specifics where it won’t recognize him as alive if he becomes too much machine or attempts to lock himself up forever with faith hero or have himself frozen in ice.
He has been trying everything he could think of except trying to give it to someone else. The goddess last chapter had such a sorrowful expression and seemingly ceased to exist after giving him the infinite return. I am expecting him to die to the fake demon king he created and return again. Especially since it would be a happy ending for him to actually die.
