If she was protecting her kid there is no way she wouldn’t just shoot him in the back when she got the jump on him and who in their right mind would ever get close enough to an unarmed target so that they could ever fight back with a gun on them? If she was civilian I might understand because of movies but as a soldier, no way.
Is the author making this up as he goes ?
Now there should be monsters coming from a rift ?
And there are zombies too ?
Is he putting everything he heard about in a post apocalypse stories?
And that fight did not make any since at all.
This is just pure stupidity. There was no need to infiltrate her home. She was no threat. In reality a trained soldier like her would have shot him instantly and that would have been the end of mc. She wouldn’t have talked at all. Instead we get this forced story. Dropping this stupid shit.

How in the hell from jungles his territory is closer to the building? I mean they distance is far too long, and i think, the author compensated this idea by a long range killer hence a sniper right?
