Only thing I hate about this MC is his lack of skill in a sword fight. I like that he uses traps and acts like an assassin, but that girl believes he has skill in a sword fight, yet MC just tripped and dodged her with luck.

I’m tired of watching people saying “how come he’s slashing with a rapier?” and I’m gonna clarify it real quick. Rapiers, by definition, must have a an edge to them. While primarily used for thrusting, you can use them to slash as long as it’s above the percussive zone (about the midpoint of the sword). A lot of people seem to think a rapier is a pocket-lance of sorts with no edge, but that’s not the case. They’re probably mixing up a rapier (which has an edge, though is very thin) with a foil (which is basically a really long needle).
