Fun fact: If some sources is to believed, Persephone should date back before Hades the god even exist. Before Hades the god, Persephone herself or her dad, some time Poseidon, was the ruler of Hades the realm. So yes, Persephone is just straight up queen of the Hades realm, even her name is bringer of death for god sake. Hades just kind of appear out of nowhere to replace Poseidon and Zeus place in the underworld for some myths.
