I get that word can only travel so far by mouth in a world like this, but did the thought never occur to him to at least try this? I get that he lives his life, worrying bout that countdown, but it’s not like he’s constantly fighting other humans anyways

Wow, this worldbuilding makes 0 sense.
There’s an OP guy that creates a parallel society in the woods and nobody knows about them, but he is OP.
At the same time, author could do something original with someone that needs to kill people and his psychological growth, but decides to follow some demonic beast cliche.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
