Man, this just got confusing. There was never a “Roman race.” Romans started out in Italy, but the empire became a mix of groups from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. By then, being Roman was more about citizenship and culture than blood.
If this is supposed to be 15th-century Europe, the Roman Empire was long gone. What really survived was their culture, laws, religion, and ideas, not the people themselves. Shouldn’t the MC and everyone else also be cursed since everybody there technically has “roman” DNA?
Or maybe the author just chose romans for some random reason and I’m just over analyzing .
