I Contracted Myself - Chapter 59
Comments for chapter "Chapter 59"
I’ve never understood the restrictions of weapon use based on class in this “real-life player” genre. Sure in-game the mechanics of the game prevent a swordsman from wielding a spear, but what about in ‘real-life’? Do their mana or bodies physically reject non-class equipment? Are they incapable of using class-specific skills? What about non class-specific skills? Do they receive some kind of penalty?
[ Some tower-based leveling manhwa do it best, coz its not just skill you get given, but some (if not most) are skills you can learn yourself as long as you can build the concept in your head and execute IRL]
In ‘real-life’, I would imagine that some skills can be used across classes. Like ‘sprint’ and ‘power punch’ for all warrior sub-classes, they could be used by assassins, archers and other physically active classes, because its literally just infusing mana into your legs as you run – ‘sprint’, and mana in to your fists as you punch -‘power punch’. A swordsman can learn (at least up to) basic proficiency of any other close to mid-ranged weapon if they put some effort into it. Again they don’t need to be good, just prepared for anything.
Anyone who isn’t a mage but has and wields a good amount of mana should be able to pull of a basic mana bullet, no? Especially the stronger one is, because its just gathering mana and throwing/releasing in a general direction….quite literally simpler than most ranged mana-based attacks that most classes would have eventually. In-fact I’d argue, for some martial artists, learning the fundamentals of ‘mana-bullet’ would help them create a ranged mana punch like technique easier I get that they gain more exp when using their class skills how they were meant, but in a lot of the stories in this genre you even get bonuses for learning new ways to wield your powers. Would it not make more sense to have some level of proficiency in a bunch of different fields whilst mastering your one true field? You wouldn’t even need to be that good at them, just some extra cards to play i.c.e
man he should have sent a fire ball on that portal
A disappointing chapter, but only in the sense that I’d been hoping for and expecting a badass battle with the two new masters.
Still it wasn’t bad. Short, but not bad.
Master Zombie getting crushed to true death would have been very funny. There’s always next time
