I Contracted Myself

I had to drop this Manhua after reading 19 chapters of it. This is a bad Chinese Manhua. I rate it 1/5. It had an good idea at the start, the only thing I can think of is the Neverland Anime, where you can’t trust anyone cuz they may be monster’s or something. But the execution of the idea of was poor and underdeveloped.

Let’s list the problems that this Chinese Manhua has.
1.) Is MC a Transmigrator or a Reincarnator? This Manhua can’t decide on this. At first, they implied and told us that the MC was a Person who didn’t understand the world he was in and didn’t know anything about it, like he just transmigrated at that point in time. But then earlier once he meets the Human Resistance, he suddenly has a backstory that we didn’t know of?
2.) The Girl MC wants to Avenge. Who is she? His Girlfriend? His childhood friend? School friend? Sister? Like, seriously, who is she? We know nothing about her aside from the fact that she’s somehow important to MC. That’s it.
3.) The Worldbuilding is poor. It’s all over the place, and wasn’t given proper attention in the beginning. Can’t tell if this is a Modern World invaded by Alien Beast’s, or an Medieval World that became Modern with Mutant Beast’s already being a fact of life.
4.) MC is both Overpowered and Overly Weak. Makes it worse that MC isn’t properly utilizing his powers, like building his own resistance group. And protecting the people he cares about by contracting them.
5.) MC sucks as a Character. I can’t understand him at all tbh. He’s whatever the situation needs him to be. He’s either as Merciful as Jesus or as Spiteful and Hateful as Satan. He’s either a Smart Character who makes choices for himself, or someone who can be manipulated easily. He’s either a complete Character, or a blank canvas that must be painted on. Biggest examples of this are when he saved the Karate Girl, consoling her, and when he met the Leader of the Human Resistance.
6.) The Characters make stupid decisions. MC doesn’t prioritize getting stronger, he doesn’t use his ability to make people he cares about become his Summons, there by allowing them to see through the Disguises of the Celestial Foxes and allowing them the ability to grow stronger. And the Human Resistance Organization doesn’t fully and properly utilize MC’s Powers, like his ability to see through the Disguises of the Enemy, and the Ability to hear whispers in the wind, basically wiretapping conversations. Also, at one point in one of the 19 Chapters, the MC and his new Ally and old Childhood Friend, have an loud as hell conversation with each other out in the open while they’re being spied on.
7.) This Manhua is confused with it’s own identity, it doesn’t understand if it wants to be a Horror Suspense Thriller Story or a generic “Cute” solo leveling copy.

But, it’s not all doom and gloom.

So let’s list the Good things about this Chinese Manhua.
1.) They had a Good Idea. (But was Underdeveloped, Confusing and Poorly Written.)
2.) The Art is Good.
3.) The Translations are Great… Except for that one Part in one of the 19 Chapters where a character says “Courting Death” instantly reminding me that this was a Chinese Manhua again.

Well, there’s all the good things about this Manhua. All I’ll say, is read from Chapter 2 to Chapter 19, then drop. That’s it.
