Interesting. It is their life, the culture and forms of communication feature in their survival every day. Eventually you even forget that this is not the totally normal way for everyone.
The ‘language ‘ of dining allows their guests to have a say when complaining might get you in serious trouble. Of course, people coming to see the king and family WOULD KNOW this etiquette. The princess is a smart and diligent girl and honours her position.
At least they are honest and care, unlike the guild staff and certain nobles.
