Since he said “son” with quotation marks I would guess MC tried out some kind of spawning/cloning ability and there was no wife. He probably then abandoned the kid since it didn’t have his abilities (no reason to eat them if it wouldn’t provide extra powers)
This story has so much potential now that im thinking about it, if he eats a creature that can go through dimensions or time and space this story could go on forever
So are we gonna get an arc about the MC kid or we’ll just assume the MC ate his kid
