Hmmmm, TBH, the MC’s situation has to be viewed thru the Korean / E. Asian ‘cultural lens’…..e.g. — group identity & association.is considered the norm; all else is regarded as abnormal (and anti-social)
Individualistic or ‘loner’ personalities are viewed as aberrant, and carry a negative social stigma. Such characters in Asian popular culture (and literature) fall into two categories: the lone hero, OR, a disturbed criminal…there’s no middle ground.
The other aspect of this story is that cronyism, corruption, and elitism is the norm for the society the MC lives in. ANYBODY rocking that boat is at best, a pest (or a crank), or a threat to hammered flat.
TD:LR — A character like the MC (who’s very ‘Batman’ like) in Asian culture is NOT viewed as a (classic) hero; he’s a threat to the ‘status quo’ and ‘societal harmony’, and treated as such.

So now they have laws and justice ? Then why these guilds are allowed to do what ever they like ? Scout people in academy that is not allowed but they dont care and nobody also care to stop it. Have top guild send assassins after the mc cause he snitched the scouting. Nope no laws no justice nobody care. Saving the country from S rank monster attack by taking out one S rank monster and still the mc is a criminal and demon worshipper. Have some super rich people make their own prison and just cause the mc was only survivor in a place where was 3 criminals and then one rich boy who’s parents then go after the mc and no laws no justice and nobody cares. That is insane amount of crime all is doing but there is no laws or justice for them and they still get to judge the mc and do what they want. If we can’t have him then we need to take him out. How is that a law and justice ?
