I Regressed As The Duke - Chapter 58

This is getting annoying, why is the MC negotiating and allowing that Princess Luvia to propose terms??? She is cooperating and trading with an enemy who is actively attacking the MC and killing his people… ?? Right in front of her even…

“It was thanks to Princess Luvia that SOME of my men even survived”  

And when the MC “confronts” her about it she asks what the issue is, and joyfully tells him that their her customers, and the MC goes – “Oh, no problem I just didn’t know you deal in contraband” ?? As if they didn’t just kill a bunch of his men..  

“If you want me to arrange a meeting, you have to let us use your port whenever we want” – Wtf is that? That’s the dumbest deal I’ve ever heard.  

How about growing a spine and demand that she arranges a meeting or he’ll cut the supply of holy water that the princess so desperately need?

And why the hell is he trying to negotiate with the pirates? Just lure them in for a meeting and take them out/capture them, he’s easily strong enough to do so?  

MC went from someone who didn’t hesitate to turn people into slaves, to becoming someone who’ll bend over backwards to avoid “spilling blood”, all the while his own troops and people are dying needlessly because of it.
