this chapter was epic!!! so much content ripe for theories, too.

what does it mean that he was called “half-soul?” it seems really significant. does it mean only half of his soul was sent back in time, allowing abraxias (the demon king, I think that’s his name right?) to come back with him so this kind of thing (going berserk/abraxias taking over) can happen? apparently his consciousness doesn’t go berserk when this happens, just his body? it’s really interesting that he was in a mental struggle with the demon king, a fight for control in another space, while his body kept fighting. having abraxias’s soul with him also explains why he automatically has -999999999 or whatever “propensity” (reputation? alignment?), though that “propensity” has affected him almost not at all since it was initially mentioned, unless you count the going berserk I suppose.

another thing, I wonder if the initial quest “become the demon king” with that 10-year time limit has another meaning, other than what I first assumed when he was first given it upon his regression. I had always assumed it meant “take up the mantle/position of demon king”… but what if it means something else entirely? it could refer to letting the demon king take over before the deadline. if it does, then he’s really screwed, because he really shouldn’t do that.

lastly, because Abraxias was able to rewind time in the real world, not just the game, I wonder which world the “end of times” and “this world” the demon king is referring to. how literal is the “our souls share the same fate” he mentioned? Is that the “cost” for getting a chance at revenge? I’m so curious!!

anyway, I really love this story and am excited to see how things play out. I’m especially excited for next week’s episode
