hmm I’d say both yes and no. he knows he’s at the center of events that he considers crucial, but has no idea about the larger impact his account (and his actions) could have on the system/akashic records as a whole.

also, that bit about the high synchronization rate having a strong toll on his body would explain why, after both times where he went berserk, he was physically weak in the real world. I thought it had something to do with the demon king Abraxas affecting his consciousness in real life, and that might be part of it, but having a scientific explanation alongside the more mystical one is interesting.
