I guess the translator felt the need to pre-emptively defend her hostility as an expression of nobility? I could definitely make some recommendations on how to better use her powers or organize her resistance to being controlled, but that’s not why she’s hard to like.

She’s hard to like because she’s arrogant about her own goodness (which is pretty average) and completely dismissive of everyone else (the author has eventually made everyone but MC into a contemptible louse, but she assumes it before she knows anything about them). Decent people find people to trust; her only relationships with other people are to manipulate them or to crush them (with the possible exceptions of the girl knight and the orphans, all of whom are ‘volunteers’ working for her now)

I was very ready to root for MC making lots of money or charming all the boys, I didn’t need her to try and be a saint. But I find it harder and harder to find something to root for here. She’s obsessed with pitting nobles against other nobles and countries against other countries, with the pretense of guaranteeing her own safety, which has only ever been endangered by her insistence on riling up the nobility and spreading her fame.
