I have a hunch that leon deliberately didn’t participate in that fight to spy on geom-ma cause there is no way he didn’t see the mermaid attack coming and if that event happen in the Novel i am sure leon can defeat that easily but he didn’t this time because he wanted to see geom ma power, i find him really suspicious since the chapter where he said “You are the same as me” but well this is only a hypothesis
