It starts off like fairytail and black cat… a story where our mc has power and is already known although they left out any possible mystery about his origins…
Cern. Your hesitation to save people is the reason why he gave up being the hero.
“I NEED CONFERMATION FROM THE CHURCH” all while the flock of ant monsters flock forward to kill everyone in their path. If you have to hesitate to save even one life IN FRONT OF YOU, then you might as well call the hero title an absolutely pointless job. You’ll kill the monsters, true. But the land that you would be tasked with saving would be LONG destroyed, and in the long run, going off that strategy is a BAAAAAAAAAAD plan.
And if this fantasy world follows certain tropes, that plan goes absolutely pear-shaped if a mass Monster Stampede happens. Especially in areas where Heroes can’t access it readily.
Then again, population control may be what the church of this world is after.
