The plot’s pretty mind numbing. I think if MC had shown a little growth in maturity over the series I’d have more investment in him as a character. Perhaps not everyone can be convinced by the power of love and unicorns to be friends. Also, they knew the slave mark was a big weakness for the princess and other supporting characters and yet they moved in anyway without the slightest deviation. They should have kept the reveal for the slave mark’s modified status a secret until this chapter. Instead of, “Oh! MC and company are just massive idiots!” It can be more like, “Oh, we had no way of knowing it’d play out like this.” Just a bunch of stuff I hope the author team refines when they pick up a new idea and run with it. This series would make a great anime if it was adapted to showcase a little more intelligence in the plot.
