A bit convoluted, to be sure. This chapter was just throwing the story into a bag, shaking it a few times and seeing how it came out. Hyperbole, but it’s not that far off.

It’s been awhile since I read this because it is becoming more lame with the forced drama, but can’t she just bring up that old elf dude being suspicious? Instead, the author makes it seem like they love each other but can’t even have a conversation without her running away. In real life you should just lay it all on the table and talk about your troubles if you actually care for someone.
