Yep, author gone with the “MC is raised by a hidden master in a hidden valley and therefore lacking common sense” trope.
Been there, done that. Also not even a particular good variant.

i would have like MC was in a small town DIDNT have a master and just learned somehow no super master in the woods ORRR
from another world BUT didnt remember anything other then this
