Flashbacks really unnecessary at this point in the story.
Maybe when characters were first introduced or soon after; but by this point we’ve been given enough context that we can figure it out ourselves.

In fact, this is the fault of the comedy part, the general prescription of the world and, in general, the MC himself. For with his soul he overshadows everything else. In the same LOTM, the meetings of the tarot club were also much more interesting than the larger plot. But we were really interested in reading about the Sun or Justice. And yes, it still doesn’t compare to MC. His adventures since becoming a clown are really great, but when he becomes faceless… it’s a bomb.
Love how opposite this story is compared to others, the MC are really all we care about and we don’t even want to learn about the world building. I think the comments below mine should verify this.
