Summary
A brief description of the manhua I’m Really Not The Demon God’s Lackey:
Lin Jie, a transmigrator, is the owner of a bookstore in another world. He’s kind and warm-hearted, often recommending healing books to customers who are going through a tough time. From time to time, he secretly promotes his own work too.
Over time, these customers begin to respect him greatly, some even frequently bringing local specialties to repay his favor. They often seek his professional opinion when it comes to selecting books, and share their experiences with this ordinary bookstore owner to people around them.
They respectfully and intimately refer to him using names such as the “Demon God’s Lackey”, “Propagator of the Flesh and Blood Gospel”, “ ‘Corpse Devouring Sect’s Rites and Customs’ Author” and “Shepherd of the Stars”.

fire if you caught up and can’t wait theres ”im a big shot cultivation” the misunderstandings are ultimate and funny
This is straight fire! The ultimate “Misunderstandings lead to greatness” read. MC is less of a focal point and more of a guide to all of the other storylines. He bridges the gap between story arcs in a funny and awesome way. One of my favorite current reads. Probably some of the best and well defined side characters I’ve read to date.
This is missing the isekai tag
I read till chapter 110.
the story is more about side characters who ender’s his bookstore.
mc is always clueless how he is making a hidden sect.
the manhua is funny end interesting to read how every one is scarred of mc.
i will give it a solid 9/10 (-1 bc mc is always clueless)
this story goes so f*cking hard
trust me, give it a read
the people who made it 4.8 instead of 5 are the same people who dislike people for no reason other than having no life this manga is way to good to hate on 10/10
I actually like the story, albeit it’s all over the place.
But i have very… mixed feelings about art and technology level.
The first one is because it’s overall good, but i do see people pointing out facepalm flaws,
And the second one… it’s just so sudden to see them use modern tv/computers/clothes. Feels out of place.
On the upside, all eldritch indescribable horrors looks amazing, love that setting.
decided to give it a shot even though its a manhua. not really worth.
its a story about an clueless mc that just so happens to do everything perfectly correctly, which is fine for maybe 20 chapters but gets really old after that.
this manhua has a million different themes that it just kinda slaps together, half the exposition is characters making giant leaps of logic to themselves in their own heads, if you actually took away all the inner monologue’s there wouldn’t even be a story here.
plus its using sex appeal of female characters to keep people reading since it knows its writing certainly isn’t good enough.
2/10
read the novel liked the ending won’t say much cause spoilers overall 9/10
MC is the most oblivious warlock of all time (not that this is necessarily a bad thing)
I’ll say it, the first 30-40 chapters are really good. then starts everyone, their son and their mothers goddamn exposition dump and it goes all over the place. I did hang on hoping it’d get better, but it does NOT.
I had dropped the series for a bit since I found some parts are a bit difficult to sit through for me but after rereading it I would say it’s a 7/10 at the lowest for me.
It doesn’t get boring and repetitive, story feels fresh and art is top notch. This is a 10/10, you wouldn’t find another one this good.
I put this series off, and i was a fool to do so. this is a mix of Rod Stirling’s twilight zone with HP lovecraft influence.
It may not be everyone’s flavor of tea, but i encourage you to give it a try.
Real men don’t cross their legs
… Because we can’t.
