Nerd boy might even have to carry the MC out of the burning building lol
We were in the perspective of the real MC until the “I wonder how much time has past.”
At that point, it swapped perspective to the MC after he had been fighting for maybe a few days. While the real MC has already been fighting for at least a few months or years… Assuming that beard is authentic and people can get wrinkly skin in that amount of time.
That was dome awesome storytelling by the author, the clone that just died didn’t have any scares and I only realized that after reading the comments

That’s some gnarly stuff. I didn’t even realize that the clone wasn’t the MC despite him not having the injury. The clone was probably him right before he got that scar.
