Quest probably not that simple, if you kill him like that..the system might have some kind of fail safe and bring the doom early. Probably just need to reform him to kill any hope of that demon ever showing up

Nah im sure even if he decides to kill him the mission wont end. He may be the heavenly demon in the future but he isnt yet, and the future has already been changed, so its possible even if he kills him another heavenly demon will rise in the future. I’m sure hell come to a conclusion like that and decide not to kill him
Due to his actions the heavenly demon will be someone else
I love how there are two interesting path that can take
- he decides to not kill him and try to change him/ change the heavenly demon, a fight against fate itself
- he deccides to kill him and bongdae wakes up at that moment knowing his friend tried to kill him. Thereby being the cause of the birth of the heavenly demon.
