There has only been a handful of murim manga, manhua or even novel that I liked. The most common reason why I didn’t like most of the stuff I read is 1. Pacing, cultivation and murim manhwa is usually scuffed when it comes to how fast they evolve. it often feels like they just wanted to show you a scene without a depth. 2. They usually focus more on individual stregth and cultivation. Reaching the heaven, reaching immortality. Often skipping character development. 3. Character, the protagonist is usually thick headed with a strong sense of justice or ideals. This one in particular at least doesn’t follow the norm. Dan doesn’t pretend to know it all and actually strives to improve not only his strength but also his character.

He’s honestly right. The 8th division doesn’t suit him. I get why he wanted to join the 8th division, but he’s too experienced compared to every student here 🤣.
