I’ve seen bad arcs, stupid arcs, unoriginal arcs, boring arcs, and ass-pull arcs.
I’ve never seen an arc that hits all the targets at one time.

Seems if she gets defeated, she dies. Sounds typical, but what does being “defeated” mean in this case? I’m betting it means losing the battle, dying, or losing the magic she just stole. Instead of her death, the “price” could also be that her friends die, she goes supernova or some other disastrous ending.
