I swear the big reveal for Shirone’s family had better be that he is in fact a commoner. His birth parents were commoners who for some reason couldn’t provide for him.
The whole premise until this point is that determination, curiosity and merit are what make a person exceptional, not their blood and that the only reason he’s not a complete prodigy has been his his lack of support growing up.
I’ve a bad feeling this story is about the completely shit all over itself by revealing Shirone is actually from some powerful noble family, etc, etc.
