Is this hero for real?

Until now, no hero like this has existed. Is this a hero, or a demon?

Kang Han Soo was summoned to another world along with his classmates. They are amazed by the magic and the otherworld, but Han Soo just wants to go home as soon as possible. Why would he go on an adventure in another world and leave behind his comfortable and warm house…?

The goddess that summoned him promised to send him back to his original world if he didn’t have the will to help, and she teleports him somewhere…

When he opened his eyes, it’s still the other world! His friends are gone and there are monsters all around!!

Great story but I would recommend reading (at least the ending of) this on a different website like Mangadex- The translation on this site gets bad near the end.

Someone needs to re-translate chapters 97 and 98 (possibly 99? didn’t check). And whoever initially “translated” those needs to stop.

Seriously, stop this washing machine translation shit. Even someone like me, who doesn’t speak a word of Korean, would do a far better job with the help of online dictionaries, a unicode shape recognizer and *careful* application and comparison of Deepl and Google Translate (check all the suggested translations for each line of dialogue, rather than blindly picking the first one, check individual words if necessary, etc).

Sure, it would take someone like me who doesn’t speak any Korean several hours, they would need the raws, and they’d probably have a headache by the end of a chapter, but I know it’s possible and way better than that shit in chapter 97 (because I did something similar with a Japanese manga by one of my favourite mangaka when the translation team there dissolved; translated 3 chapters that way).

Like what kind of idiot sees lines like “fastest elton this much can’t give me a single sneeze” or “oh korean beef…it’s, who is that” or “it’s the king of hemp!” and just pastes that shit into the image without going “hm, maybe these lines need to be translated by someone with a brain”.

This is a pretty fresh and fun experience in the isekai genre. Unfortunately the focus of the story is occasionally misdirected to the side characters and the mc is kind of an empty, op, husk of a protagonist.

The fake mc gets way too much screentime and was pathetically ntrd from his harem. I keep on forgetting who each character is unless he’s in the main cast. There was some purpley haired hero who is supposed to be the strongest, the fake hero, the class president, etc.The translation often has issues. In rare cases you’ll see the text bubble with unedited text with english text in it. In other cases, they’ll translate “hero” as “warrior.” I think they wrongly translated “elf” as “fairy.”

But besides the side characters and translation… there’s the mc. First of all, it doesn’t help that the mc is literally impotent because he suffers erectile dysfunction, which ruins any romance, because you know it’ll never go anywhere, barring a complete miracle.

His emotional state also gets reset with extreme speed. So he never gets too sad or happy. He’s an immortal, and his lifespan never ends, and his mood never really changes for long.

Neither does his EXP. He will never level up, since his level never changes. He will only die from a fatal wound.

The reason he’s insanely strong and op is because he can sacrifice his lifespan, which resets, repeatedly. His lifespan increased to 1000 years, which permanently resets. So borrowing 900+ years of lifespan for an attack is extremely destructive.

The power he received was also given to a dragon. Why do I bring up this dragon? Because the dragon was somehow gaining exp, despite everything.

He also has infinite mana. His mana will reset constantly as well.

Second, he can weirdly enough, redirect his own curses at other people, such as having nightmares. I don’t get why. He just somehow randomly used that ability in ch60-70 somewhere and it’s not explained. Also, he weirdly won’t get blessings in situations where he should. He slew a dragon, but got a curse instead, while his companions got blessings.

Third, he gets a demon slave to translate a language for him, only he learns that same language 5-8 chapters later. So exactly what is her purpose? To just have her panties looked at everytime she high kicks despite the mc’s inability to even enjoy it?

It started out 10/10. Gripping plot that sucked me in, with interesting potential.
It’s currently at 7.5/10 as of current chapter. It’s not bad, but with more mysteries than answers developing in this aimless story, and too much screentime being taken up by filler side characters, my interest in this series has been waning for some time and if it continues this trend I might drop.

The idea is quietly refreshing. Heroes that portrayed in typical shounen comic but get reality slaps instead. Delusional kids that unable to wake up to reality despite they keep getting reality slap. Refreshing, but this trope getting old. To this point, these kids are just used to make the story uninterestingly stretched. But the good news is the demon boy trying to kill these kids. Tho, typically author don’t have the gut to actually kill their no mob characters even if it’s to make story better. But let see.

Honestly it started off pretty well but gradually it’s become more and more boring, the unknown goddess was cool but in the later chapters she’s just annoying and the plot is moving forward at a snails pace. Most of the characters are forgettable and have very similar personalities. It starts off as a 7.5 out of 10 but it’s like a 5 now. I really hate to do this but I’m going to end up dropping it. I wish the rest of you guys good luck and pray it gets better again.
