She is right and wrong. Any nation/ society is ruled by vested interests. I’d say society cannot exist without vested interests and cooperation.
So the point here would be of cleaning up interests that go against nation interests and making nation stronger.
Instead it looks like personal beef against Diablo.
I get Naoh’s point, but this world is survival of the fittest and rule of the strong, as Diabloe alone could crush most armies of most nations. I think only the Gelem Empire Magimatic soldiers could defeat him, though it would be close. A battle that would end in the Empire’s cripple at best and maybe Diablo’s death, though with his battle maid, I don’t think he would die. How would you enforce laws on that kind of man? He even has Krem eating out of his hand most of the time, who could best her beside Diablo?
While feudalism isn’t great, neither is democracy.
Ultimately though, in a world like that, strength would rule regardless, to some degree.
