i don’t know what it is, but i just can’t trust the queen, can’t help but think she is a bad guy

The problem with these series is that there’s no character development. There’s introductions and explanations as to why thet behave a certain way. But ut always falls back on the one comedic thing that makes the character.
In this case its Diablo’s social ineptitude.
But come on. You’ve heen traveling with them for quite awhile. For him to have not grown or adapted or changed at all is very contrived.
Thats why i like Mushoku Tensei. The mc grows and learns. But even that series has the main comedy bit that remains constant throughout, primarily his pervertedness.
Seems most isekai and harem have no character growth (other than power level, everything else stays the same)
If he’s scared of females he’ll remain that way the emtire story. Shy, beta etc he’ll never grow.
Just weird. I’d appreciate some character growth that isnt just superficial and about his power levels.
