The sheer questions about all the problems involved with the idea of booking an inn in another city or country in advance at their tech level… Author, are you stupid? Editor… did you even review your author’s writing? There are a a lot less massively over contrived ways to have your MC stay with the local authority, including just a simple “Umm, with the festival so popular, you won’t likely find an inn now, but I do want to thank you, so how about just staying with us?
Any further news on that anime declared back in the comments for ch 95?
I haven’t found an official announcement. 
Just curious how you book a room without phone or internet…
Send a letter to each inn and ask if they have a room open, wait 3 weeks for a reply and then reply back with the room you want – while all those inns keeps that room you asked for on hold for you?
Be interesting to see if high level priests can sense the MC’s bacon loving spirit.
I see several comments about the problems with “pre-booking a room” with the displayed level of technology. Just thinking about it, if I was a traveling merchant, who also took passengers, and was planning on passing through a city just before a big festival, I’d consider approaching an inn to book a couple rooms for the festival, paying the festival prices upfront. The inn doesn’t loose out on anything, and I could then offer the rooms at an exaggerated price to my fares. This fleecing.. er… i mean… added bonus would likely make us a preferred caravan for travelers.
