I hate when they add guns
And just like that, the story stopped being interesting. Le sigh.
I don’t understand people’s obsession with bringing modern technology in fantasy-medieval settings. On another note, I also can’t see how an Alchemist would be able to create a gun.
Since it’s a weapon with multiple parts that work together, a smith, gunsmith, metalworker or engineer would be the only “jobs” that could logically produce / create a pistol.
I was really enjoying this story too…But too many stories nowadays have this stupid trope of bringing modern weapons into medieval settings and destroy their own fun factor in the process.

And that is why kings would be regularly assassinated if they start screwing with powerful outsiders.
It seems odd that the king has people that can hunt powerful summons yet needs summons.
