I believe that abandoning 2 (two!) B-rank parties and other passengers able to fight orcs and forging on ahead without them only to be beset upon by orcs qualifies as being hoisted by one’s own petard.

Cruel? Me? Oh no I’m n… well, yes, I am, but this time it’s different. As mentioned : they took most of the provisions, thrown horse dung to the leftover, destroyed the carriages and left them there to die. Whatever happens to them at this point, it’s karma and I don’t care about them. There is no redemption arc, where this could be tolerated. So, I hope the Author does not gonna save them (via the MC), but there is little chance for that…
