Lassi is very good and I make it at home with Desi natural whole milk yougurt plain from an Indian market.
I probably would horrify Indians because I’ll pitch in a bottled water sugar free flavor pack.
I also pick wild fruit and use that from time to time. Most stupermarkets have dreck for dairy and fresh produce.
A friend makes a variant with green vegetables and spices. One is ‘curry’ Lassi. I’d call any of that more of a sauce. Yep.
No I’m not vegan or vegetarian. I prefer no meat or cheese in the curry but am not opposed to a slab of steak on the side. Cow is probably inappropriate around some Indians though.

I mean have you seen see rations ?
they are meant to last for months so they are dry and without taste. A bit of salt or “meat” would be welcome in most cases
