Now that I’ve been thinking about it, shouldn’t they know about that request given how it’s now in the Adventurer Guild and they are in fact adventurers?

The MC is overpowered but is still growing, however instead of slaying a monster or otherworldly threat, the MC’s heroism is social and economic reform.

Not, ‘let me teach you how to be successful adventurers, maybe I’ll pay you to accompany me on my mine patrols’, but ‘I’ll give you back the dirty dead-end job and let you figure out how to support six people on one person’s worth of income’. This is what drives me crazy about mangas that try to show how easy it is to fix social problems. First, it’s not easy, and second, what matters is the result, not the intention. Get those kids an education and a future, rather than get them comfortable with their poverty.
