Guess’n she wants to know what his thoughts are and while he is thinking about how to answer over the next 2 chapters, she can invite Umi over to her house the very next day after he moves out. FFS

Good to know that this manga still makes my brain explode, yep I’d be back in another 50 chapters. Hopefully by then the japanese goverment banned this after finding out this manga caused their declining birth rates

Half this chapter was thought bubbles of the MC’s “What!” I mean, I think manga artists work too hard so i can’t fault taking it easy but, its a perfect expression of why this manga goes nowhere very slowly.
While its true these two have been pussyfooting it around for (in universe) over a year, there are very few early 20s guys who can give a solid answer to that question. I get why she’d ask, but if you had asked at that age, I would have shrugged too. Because I knew watching my parents that parenting is hard work. When my wife and i were doing pre-marital counseling we got this question, and at the time I said i didn’t want kids but that I was open to changing my mind. That was good enough for her. And then we had (and raised) 3, which, I had that experience Chizuru is looking for so, I get that desire.
But this boy…would you want to have him for a dad? Or a partner in raising kids? Hard pass.
But the opening panels with a look into her mind and the closing panels of her sharing…that is when this manga is good. The author is clearly capable of writing a solid character and dialogue. But be it because he has a huge loan he has to payback to the Yakuza or he’s afraid of unemployment, we have been stuck in neutral for 200+ chapters with only the fleeting glimpses of the quality of writing that is possible from the author. Its just so annoying.
