Kanojo, Okarishimasu

I absolutely love this story! Yes it is slow, but so what. The texture the Author applies is really worth it.
The girls do throw monkey wrenches into things but that and how Chizuru and Kazuya deal with and grow from these small but comical events is part of the charm. Who doesn’t get a chill when the dark side- “Mami the destroyer”  manipulative and conniving crawls out of her den or when “Ruka the imposing” intrusively possessive has gotten herself all heated up or going BOOM  (jealous unrequited love). Then “the light side” Sumi who has been nothing but sweet and helpful and then the bit presumptive Mini (who is hilarious) is Kazuya’s advocate and champion. The Light and Dark, Good Bad. Yin and Yang ?
The major events are truly heart rending and relatable, bringing light to how inescapable seasons of human life are relentlessly bringing joy and pain. They show how presumed flaws or weaknesses (i.e. Kazuya’s oversensitive side) can actually be great blessings (true empathy) when seen in the proper light. Once again the Author shines, because this is done without repugnant soap opera-ish melodrama.
Those who cap on Kazuya for his internal fear of rejection, self doubt, consideration for her ( his love interest Chizuru’s) thoughts wants and needs, over thinking things to the Nth degree have either if they ever knew, forgotten what it is for a young man to fall in love or simply subscribe to the shallow, temporary, devolved  modern culture replacement “hooking up”. 
There is just way too much to unpack here in a short time and that is part of what makes this story great! Yes it is slow, but so what. The texture the author lovingly applies is really worth it.
