This trope of the heroine of the novel makes no sense.
It doesn’t matter if it’s the emperial palace nobles can’t be maids.
Only commoners are maids.
Nobles can be ladies in waiting, basically a ladies playmate, going to parties, keep her company etc.
But no noble even lowest ranks are maids without losing their titles and so becoming a commoner.
So it’s not possible for others to be nobles and looking down on her.
They’d be all commoners.
That’s often a huge mistake in Korean webnovels about western European culture
