Is it just me or did the dialogue writing get somehow worse?

Something I’ve noticed, but it’s starting to seem like the writer just adds in whatever without using callbacks. The super strong tough egg at the beginning? Gone. The mention of war between the Demons and Human? What war? What generals? Personality of the Demon General, or how Shiro ever started being able to communicate with ‘everyone else’? Every ability earned? The 23 OTHER reincarnated people? Two years have outright passed since Shiro got a human/god body, two years since the start of war, and nothing seems too different.
Story elements are being written in without ever seeming to be called back or referenced later on.
