Something I find ironic is that, to a degree, Hades would actually have no room to criticize someone for taking a concubine.
In Aeschylus’ accounting, the Erinyes (the Three Furies) are the children of Hades and the goddess of night, Nyx.
Now, this is not perfectly analogous, as Hades never did – nor could he ever hope to (given how she was immeasurably more powerful than him) – take Nyx as a concubine.
With that said, I would still say fathering children to a woman other than your wife, even if for (frankly, unknowable) reasons, bars you from judging someone for a concubinage.
Hades wife is persephone. Demeter is her mother and the godess of the earth. TL used fusion successfully XD.
